Maidsen's flight

The little bit of girl, five weeks in all, left here late Sunday night. Madisen is now beautiful, whole, full of a life she could never have had here.
But her mom and dad are at the funeral home now, planning a little service for the little girl whose little life did more to them in five weeks than perhaps has happened to either of them even in th past five tumultuous years.
And it's the same place I picked up Tony's ashes, where we paid for Courtney's funeral, talking to the same person, probably...so before June is over, another lovely life gone from here to be far more lovely and lively there. i woke early sunday morning with this lullabye in my head and heart, knowing that it would not be long before she left.

I’ll Hold You in Heaven

You were born on this planet but you’re not meant for earth;
You came to teach us by your time after birth.
My time is longer, so I’ll stay till I’m called
To hold you in Heaven—then, no parting at all.

We make all our plans; we believe that we’re wise.
We tried to keep you but in Heaven’s eyes
The place for your healing is in Jesus’ arms;
He carries the broken and keeps them from harm.

I’ll hold you in Heaven; we’ll join at the feet
Of the Savior who loves us and makes us complete.
He has healed you in Heaven; there, you’ll grow and run free
So I’ll wait for Heaven and you’ll wait for me.

The sadness runs deep and the pain is demanding;
But as I weep, I smile through my tears.
For God does all things well and it’s my understanding
That this brief song’s a prelude to our eternal years.

I’ll hold you in Heaven; we’ll join at the feet
Of the Savior who loves us and makes us complete.
He has healed you in Heaven; there, you’ll grow and run free
So I’ll wait for Heaven and you’ll wait for me.

Though you’re lost to my arms, you’re not lost to my heart;
I’ll hold you in Heaven where we never will part.
